VELÉA is modest activewear, built around one standard: coverage should never require compromise.

Why we exist

Modest activewear has spent too long being treated as an adaptation — a longer hem, a looser cut, a layer thrown over something designed for someone else. What that produces is clothing that covers but doesn't perform, or performs but doesn't cover.

We built VELÉA because that trade-off was never necessary. Full coverage isn't a modification we made to our garments. It's the brief they were designed against, from the first sketch.

How we design

Every VELÉA piece starts with movement. Cut, seam placement, fabric weight and stretch recovery are worked out for a body that's training — not standing still for a photograph.

That means fabric that holds its opacity through a deep squat. Sleeves that stay put through overhead work. A tunic that keeps its line at the end of a session, not just the start. Coverage that moves with you instead of against you.

The Céleste Collection

Our first collection is deliberately narrow: two colourways — Éclipse, a matte black, and Bleu Nuit, a deep midnight navy — each a matching tunic and legging set, available together or separately, plus the Céleste Cloak, an oversized hooded layer for before and after training.

We'd rather do a small number of things properly than a large number approximately.
